Provolone is amongst Italy's most famous semi-hard cheese. Provolone Valpadana began to gain notoriety as early as the renaissance period in Southern Italy, known at the time as 'Provola'.
At the beginning of the last century its production moved to the Padana Region of Northern Italy where conditions and the availability of milk were more favourable.
Today this cheese is enjoyed throughout Europe in both its mild and 'Piccante Pasta Bianca' form. Produced by Ceasearia Bresciana using genuine traditional methods.
